There are so many different places to discover new and exciting music because of the world wide web.  Artists today are using everything and anything to have their voices.  One of these sites Is called Reverbnation and that is where this reviewer heard the bombastic voice of Sabrina Gilbert and the six song selection entitled “The Good Look Mix Tape”.

Sabrina Gilbert is a highly regarded spoken word artist in the word of poetry and an up and coming actress.  The Good Look Mix Tape gives us another side of this multi talented artist.

Each and everyone one of us has days where you are full of stress and you want to just sit down and relax while loosing ourselves in our thoughts . Some of us grab a glass of wine and put on soothing music to take away our worries and just get lost or escape.

Little do a lot of us know, you do not have to travel far to find new music that you would like to listen too from an artist you have never heard before. There are some great musicians just in your own backyard we will say. This is the case with this reviewers selection this month in Discover. Hailing from Fredericton, New Brusnswick, Canada, let me introduced you to Jaclyn Reinhart and her new CD called, “Favorites Mistakes”.

What has been given to us in this five song set is an wide range of honest emotions. You feel the pieces here are autobiographical and all of us can relate to the subjects as it is about the ups and downs of relationships.

In scouring around looking for new music, I came across with new folk singer by the name of Jake Jeanson and his CD called “Traveler”.

As soon as I started to listen to this piece of music, the realization on how simple and straight ahead the arrangements were.  You can hear  the honesty in the lyrics and the fun he is having sharing his music with you.  In the today’s world, it is a great thing to hear the fingers actually moving up and down the strings of his guitar.
