The Geek Chic Look
Now I know I haven’t updated my fashion section in awhile guys due to prior engagements with my other job… and partying in Wet Willies down on South Beach With Ludacris for My 21st birthday!!
On a more serious note...while I was down there I got a lot of compliments on the fashion statement that I personally have been pushing myself, and I also see a lot of people picking up themselves. In Hollywood (such as the guy who made himself look bad at the MTV

awards- Kanye West, Andre 300 - who does it the best, Pharrell - kinda started it, and also Johnny Depp)… the Geek Chic look.
OK, nerds and geeks alike, today I’m going to cover a new fashion trend that I am a really big fan of. Like I mentioned before, and this fall will have a big impact on a lot of people. It’s a old still from the 1800’s, came back in the 60’s ,and now is back again and coming on strong.
Now ladies and gentlemen, when I say the word 'Geek' in the fashion world I don’t mean 'geek' in the traditional sense of the word.--you know the traditional stereotype of someone with no sense of style or coordination what-so-ever. The 'Geek Chic ' look focuses more on dressing up in waist coats, slick formal shirts, plaid coats, and chunky knitwear. Add 'Geek' Fashion accessories to give you a more modern laid back professional look.
This is a nod to the geek within you (but not a thumbs up or a cheesy smile like how geeks tend to do ). I strongly recommend when using this look (which I know a lot of you are because I personally have already jumped on board) to add large rim glasses , a bow tie, a striped tie, suspenders, a flat cap, or if you're more street and bold enough,-- fitted cap. I recommend for you to start wearing this look with a graphic Tee and a pair of suspenders to match your shoes and a fedora. Don't forget the glasses!
If it's a little more chilly, wear a knit shirt with a plain shirt underneath , a flat cap or a fitted cap and again..your glasses! You can also wear this look with the skinny leg jeans article that I mentioned a few weeks ago.
I have a few examples below to get your imagination started. Have fun with it and remember if you're going to do it do it big!!
