Toya Lane has always had an eye for fashion starting from a very young age of ten when she went to Jo-Anne fabrics and picked out a floral jersey knit and made a skirt out of it to wear to school. She then took clothing construction all through high school and finished out school being named “Best Dressed” by her senior class. She designed her prom gown and styled two of her friends prom wear. Deciding to go into the military and being formally trained as a Computer Graphics Artist. She has maintained a love of all creative industries. Moving to Misawa Japan she witnessed a lack of clothing for the average sized women on the Air Base. So, she started to measure and order clothing for the woman on base for Black-Tie and semi-formal events. She quickly found her true love of dressing the everyday woman.
After returning to the States she completed her Bachelor’s in Business Management Marketing with a minor in Financial Management. She set a plan in motion but being a military spouse she moved two more times before starting her own Marketing and Fashion Styling company named ChicDivineStyle. She currently resides in southern Georgia and is centrally located to Atlanta, Savannah, Tampa, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, and Orlando. She virtually styles as well as in home.
She is a Stylist first, fashion blogger, and writer for Petite Book Magazine as well as other projects. Styling photo shoots, look books for boutiques and designers, wardrobe auditing, consulting and personal shopping are services that Toya provides and loves.
She has been in Charleston Magazine and is on the promotion video for Charleston Fashion week 2012. She has featured Mamie Ruth designer Emily Bargeron on her blog. Toya is always looking to expand her brand and help others in the creative industries by collaborating with them.

Looks For Life: Be Fly

I love to people watch, so while traveling for work I took the opportunity to just observe them. People wear anything to the airport in an effort to be comfortable unless they are on business, then they are in suits or business casual attire. Personally, I have to be cute at the airport you never know who you will meet. So what do you wear while traveling? I am glad you asked. I took pictures of a few individuals that got it right.

Be Edgy: You can be edgy and comfy as Martina proves here wearing black over-the-knee riding boots with jean skinnies, rolled up boyfriend blazer and colorful scarf.

Looks for Life: High Profile Attire

Looks for Life: High Profile Attire

One of my biggest pet peeves is woman looking like they just stepped off the short bus when they are at work or out and about. I know I know, being a stylist this should bother me, but it is just starting to get ridiculous. Being busy is no excuse for landing on the “Walmart” video. I know we should not judge a book by its cover but we do, get over it and create a better cover. The point is that your clothing should reflect who you are and show your personality.
