Kardashian Overload!
The cover of US weekly reads “Kim Defends Her Love” and there’s a cheesy picture of a scantily clad Kim K. and her husband Kris Humphries sitting on a beach chair, next to a pool.

Kardashian Overload!
No matter where I go, I am bombarded with a Kardashian!
They're like garbage cans, they're everywhere.
TV, Clothing Ads, the Internet and especially magazines.
The cover of US weekly reads “Kim Defends Her Love” and there’s a cheesy picture of a scantily clad Kim K and her husband Kris sitting on a beach chair, next to a pool.
First, my question is… Who’s causing her to defend this “Love,” and second, would they please stop?
Being an active member of “WhoGivesACrap.com” although not an actual website, but a frame of mind. I think I can speak for most consumers when I say there are more pressing issues in the world right now, other than how many flowers, ice sculptures, and puffy sleeved dresses were at the Kim K wedding. Let alone a cover story of her trying to defend a relationship, which no one really cares about.
Seems like everyone is forgetting Kim K’s claim to fame, which was being the co-star of an amateur adult video, and the ability to give a back-shot to the paparazzi on queue. She quickly climbed the ladder along with a slew of other B-List celebrities, yet she was the only one smart enough to capitalize on her newfound fame.
I recently caught a glimpse of what I believe to be the new season of Keeping Up with The Kardashians, which featured Kris Humphries as Kim K’s then boyfriend. He was attempting to reprimand Kim’s brother Rob, for calling Kim a word that shouldn’t be used, unless referring to a female dog.
Watching it, I was actually amazed at Kris.
I expected a conversation consisting of third-grade words and blank-stares, being that he seems to have the I.Q. of a Tonka-Truck, but somehow he conveyed his point in a very respectable manner.
Even though Rob seemingly could care-less about Kris’ opinion, he completely ignored him and proceeded to act like a child diagnosed with ADHD who was told to clean up their toys, but spotted a red ball in the corner. Treating the situation with a complete lack of respect, and attention.
This past season Rob has gained the reputation of a “bad boy,” not because of what he’s done to women, but for his continual lack of good judgment.
Some people may think that I’m being harsh, but I believe that the Kardashian’s have a twisted sense of reality, and the messages they convey to young women everywhere, is unacceptable.
It’s like if your aspirations include being a porn star, trophy wife, or someone with distorted body-issues… than this is the show for you.
Lawrence Fishburne’s daughter hoped to develop the same fame that Kim K has, by doing amateur porn videos, but failed miserably.
I refuse to glorify this lifestyle that they lead, because it’s unrealistic and superficial.
The only one seeming to have her head on straight is Khloe, even though her mom tries to push her own negative body images onto her daughter, Khloe has always been not only the voice of reason but of rationality.
I can appreciate that she explains her relationship to no one, because truth be told, it’s no one’s business.
Although we can’t avoid the ridiculousness that reality TV displays on a weekly basis, it is our choice whether or not to indulge in it.
The Kardashians are like antibiotics; you have to take them in doses.
And, too much of it at one time can make you sick.
- Until next time folks!
