SwaggaKings.com is a one of a kind online publication. By interning with SwaggaKings.com you will learn the ins and outs of Internet publication and its effect on the publishing community. There are vast opportunities available here at SwaggaKings.com from administration to production and in between. As an intern with SwaggaKings.com you will gain real world work experience in the field you enjoy.
To qualify, candidates must be 18 years of age or older, able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week, have access to a computer during working hours, make it past the interview process, participate in weekly meetings via teleconference or in person, and/or enrolled in either a two- or four-year college program (for college credit seekers only).
Interested candidates can fill out and submit our application form found on the page of your area of interest.
All internships are on a part-time basis, No monetary compensation will be provided. However, many schools offer academic credit for internships. To determine if your school offers credit and/or the requirements of obtaining credit, you must contact your school’s career placement office or your academic advisor.
We are currently seeking interns for the following departments:
Writer
(Journalist Interest)
- SwaggaKings.com, Editorial department seeks interns to participate in a highly selective program offering students skills to become well–rounded candidates that are fully prepared for their first entry level job. Interns will provide research for editor’s stories/projects, write articles the will formulate ideas and communicate them publicly. There is also a possibility of conducting interviews and covering events as well as posting ad’s for additional writers. Researching the interview subjects. Finding events and buzz worthy functions to cover. They will also learn how to deliver print magazine content to an online audience. This is not a tech-heavy position, but more creative and editorially based. Those selected will see their work published on SWAGGAKINGS.COM.com almost immediately.

ADVERTISING SALES/ MARKETING
SwaggaKings.com Advertising Sales and Marketing department is seeking individuals interested in the business side of the magazine (i.e. sales, marketing, events, etc). You work with an Associate/Assistant to help you in your development. You will be given the chance to write marketing proposals, which are sent out to clients, and used by sales people on sales calls. You may also have an opportunity to assist at events. Assist with our successful viral campaign. As well as assist in the development of all site contest.

PHOTOGRAPHY
SwaggaKings.com, Photography department is seeking dynamic interns to work with in this highly selective program for individuals who are aspiring photojournalists, photo editors or videographers. You will have the opportunity to cover stories that could be featured in media outlet around the state or around the globe. Take and match photos for various articles written by the writing staff as well as assist in editing of other photographs for publication. Interns will assist in conceptualizing new online video programs, be hands on with photo/video shoots, and will also work directly with celebrities, models, artists and businesspersons. Must be experienced in photo and/or video editing
To be considered:

COMMUNITY
SwaggaKings.com, Community Department seeks interns to manage the SwaggaKings.com online community, which will consist of over 100,000 members. Interns will be responsible for the promotion and enhancement of the member community, interacting with members, and helping to develop new features that will be made available for member interaction with the site. Identify and coordinate individuals wishing to become models for SwaggaKings.com and assist with finding events and buzz worthy functions to cover.. Experience with other social networking sites is a plus, e.g. Twitter, Myspace, Facebook, etc.

WEB DEVELOPMENT/GRAPHIC ARTS
SwaggaKings.com, Web Development is seeking web development interns that will assist the digital team in various SwaggaKings.com,.com web projects. This may involve HTML/CSS/JAVA. Mainly interns will work to enhance our web site and help SwaggaKings.com, to create new aspects that attract our targeted reader. The ideal candidate will have created a small or personal web site at some point and is interested in pursuing a career in web development. Interns with a graphic arts background will work within this department as well focusing on design of various viral ad campaigns, logos and accessory designs. Candidates must also be proficient in Adobe Dream weaver and/or, Illustrator, and/or Photoshop. Responsibilities will include scanning, printing, research and occasionally layout/design of the web site. This is a great chance to network with and learn from creative art and photo editors collectively
